He felt something grabbing the back of his collar roughly and begin hauling him off of the pavement, a choked, haggard, "no!" sounding from his parched throat. He had run... He had run as far and as fast as he could... Yet they still caught him. Cloud struggled, squirming, desperately reaching out into the darkness... Someone grasped his hand and pulled him from the one holding him, gently taking him with him into the light...
Zack opened his eyes. He had had the same dream, only this time... His Cloud was saved by someone else... He sighed. As long as Cloud was alright... Yet somehow, it wasn't enough. He wanted to be Cloud's hand that pulled him into the light, into his arms... To take his fears away.
What a selfish thought.
He sighed, doing exactly what he did last time, walking over to Cloud's room in nothing but his boxers...

"Zack...?" Cloud yawned, this time waking up just as Zack pulled him into his arms.
"Yeah. It's ok, you can go back to sleep."
"Aw, Zacky have a bad dream...?" Cloud smiled sleepily, snuggling into him when the raven-haired Soldier pouted.
"Maybe..."
Cloud nuzzled his friend. "Whatever it was... It was only a dream. Right?"
Zack nodded and smiled.
Yeah... Only a dream, right?
